Attach a file, keep editing the original, and what the conversation holds is an old copy. Connecting Drive keeps shared files tied to the conversation, and changes to the original are detected.

Connect

  1. Open integrations in workspace settings.
  2. Choose Google Drive and grant access.
  3. Share a Drive file in a chat.

What changes

  • Shared files stay in the conversation as marks.
  • Edits to the original are detected.
  • The hub filter can show files on their own.
Access is granted at workspace level. If a Drive holds things the whole team should not see, check before connecting.
