Add a customer chat widget
Handle enquiries from your website inside Markhub.

Install the customer chat widget on your website and visitors can ask a question straight away, with no sign-up.
Incoming conversations go to the hub you nominate, and AI reads them to organise the topics, decisions and to-dos alongside.
Create a widget
Open Customer Chat Widget in settings and create a new one.
- Widget Name: something you will recognise later.
- Destination Hub: the hub enquiries are stored in.
- Allowed Domain: the website domain that may use the widget.
Fill all three in and click Create Widget.
Allowed Domain takes the domain alone, with no https://. Separate multiple domains with commas or new lines.
Install it on your site
Select a widget you created to see its install details. There are two ways in.
Share a link
Press Copy Link. Sharing that link lets a customer start a conversation with nothing installed anywhere.
Install on the site
Press Copy Code and paste the snippet right before the </body> tag on your website. The widget then appears at the bottom right of the page. If a developer has to do it, Email to developer sends it on.
Connect an AI agent
Any widget can have an AI agent attached. Choose one under Assigned Agent and it answers visitors using its own memory and settings.
You can also set:
- Welcome Greeting: the first thing a visitor sees
- Prompt: extra instruction on how to reply
- Widget Logo: the logo shown in the chat
- Agent Memory: what the agent draws on
Managing widgets
Widgets can be edited or deleted at any time. Switch a widget between Open and Closed to control whether it is accepting enquiries.
Enquiries become the team’s work
Everything a customer sends is recorded in the hub you chose. Teammates reply from that same conversation, and AI organises the details and the follow-up work along with it.
