A mark chat is a conversation thread that runs inside a hub.

Type / mid-conversation to call an AI agent, and it answers in the same thread using everything said so far. No separate window, and no re-explaining the situation.

Calling an agent

① Typing / switches into asking an agent. ② Write your question or request after it.
The composer switched into agent mode by typing /
  1. Select Chat in the composer.
  2. Type / in the input.
  3. Pick the agent to use. MAKi is the default.
  4. Write your question or request and send it.

In agent mode the composer changes its label. Press Esc to go back to writing a normal message.

Question and answer stay in the thread

① Messages sent to an agent carry a To Agent badge.
A thread with a question to an agent and its reply

Messages sent to an agent carry a To Agent badge, which separates them from messages meant for teammates. Because both question and answer stay in the record:

  • Teammates can see what was asked and what came back.
  • Discussion can continue in the same thread, on top of the answer.
  • Later on, the conversation and the AI answer are found together.

What you can ask for

Agents work from the current conversation and from the marks accumulated in the workspace.

Organising conversation and work

Find the work in a conversation and sort out owners and deadlines, or summarise recent discussion and decisions.

Search and writing

Look across chats, notes and to-dos for what you need, and draft meeting notes or a write-up.

File analysis and research

Upload an Excel or PDF file to analyse the data, compare sources, or research a question.

Recurring work

Hand over recurring jobs such as task or inventory management, or set up workflows that run on a schedule or an event.

Long answers keep flowing inside the same thread.
A longer reply where the agent explains what it can do

Talking to an agent separately

Select an agent under AGENTS in the sidebar to open a 1:1 room. In there you ask directly, without typing /. It suits longer work with one agent, or a back-and-forth over several answers.
