Attach a file, keep editing the original, and what the conversation holds is an old copy. Connecting Drive keeps shared files tied to the conversation, and changes to the original are detected.
Connect
- Open integrations in workspace settings.
- Choose Google Drive and grant access.
- Share a Drive file in a chat.
What changes
- Shared files stay in the conversation as marks.
- Edits to the original are detected.
- The hub filter can show files on their own.
Access is granted at workspace level. If a Drive holds things the whole team should not see, check before connecting.
